Privacy Policy
Amoli collects no personal data. None.
There is no account, no sign-in, no server of ours, and no analytics or tracking of any kind in the app. Your photographs, the descriptions Amoli writes of them, the names you teach it, your entries and reveries — all of it stays in Amoli's own storage on your device.
Everything Amoli works with is stored locally, in the app's private container:
None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it. There is no mechanism in the app for us to receive it.
Amoli runs an artificial-intelligence model directly on your iPhone. Your photographs are never uploaded to a cloud service to be analysed. This is the central design decision of the app, and the reason it asks for a large one-time download and a long first read-through.
Amoli connects to the internet for exactly one purpose: to download the model's files the first time you use it (and, occasionally, to fetch an updated model). Those files are hosted by Hugging Face. That request downloads data to your phone; it does not send any of your personal information, photographs, or text anywhere.
Apart from that download, Amoli functions entirely offline.
Amoli asks for access to your photo library so it can read your photographs on the device. It uses that access only to display and describe your photos inside the app. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Amoli can export an encrypted backup of your journal. That backup is created on your device, encrypted with a passphrase you choose, and saved wherever you choose to put it. We never receive it, and we cannot open it or recover your passphrase.
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may give us aggregate, anonymous reports — for example how many people installed the app, or that a crash occurred. This comes from Apple, not from anything inside Amoli, it is not linked to you, and you control it in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Amoli contains no advertising, no tracking technologies, and no third-party analytics or marketing services. Nothing about you is sold or shared, because nothing about you is collected.
Amoli is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Deleting the Amoli app from your iPhone deletes everything it holds. Because none of it was ever sent to us, there is nothing else to request, export, or erase on our side.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date below. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
